The Fourth Fleet Wide
In
the shadow of the Dominion War, the United Federation of Planets
found itself in dire straits. Its economy, resources and
personnel lay in shambles, consumed by one of the most
destructive and costly wars in the history of the galaxy. The
Dominion War knocked the Alpha Quadrant and everything in it
into upheaval, and in the aftermath, those that were left had to
pick up the pieces and attempt to secure their futures.

In the
shadow of the Dominion War, the United Federation of Planets
found itself in dire straits.
The Federation, in a bid to do just that, begins an era of
diplomatic and geographic expansion unrivaled in the last
hundred years. Dozens of candidate species, worlds and
governmental bodies have found the process for Federation
membership accelerated. New worlds now stand their flags proudly
beside the stars and laurel of the Federation. Their people
become citizens, their governments become voices in the Council,
their goods get traded among the stars and their militaries
integrate into Starfleet and the Federation’s other defensive
institutions.
The Federation’s borders expand in every direction. Toward the
Galactic Rim, a technologically advanced race known as the
Amenti are in the process of finalizing their acceptance and
integration into the Alpha Quadrant’s premier union. Their space
is vast, spanning nearly fifty light-years. Their government is
stable, their military is strong and they are on good terms with
the neighboring Klingon Empire – all reasons that stand among
the many that makes them an attractive addition.
Starfleet is sending vessels in with representatives of the
Federation Government to meet with the Amenti and seal the
alliance. Amenti Space will now become a part of the Federation,
a part of the whole, entitling them to every right and
responsibility of any other citizen of the UFP – and tying the
Federation to the same promise. This signing is momentous; one
of the largest inductions in recent history. The diplomats, VIPs
and Starfleet personnel in attendance know that it is going to
be a watershed moment.
What they cannot predict is just how much it will change things.
The Amenti’s nearest neighbor is also their oldest rival: a
triumvirate of related species collectively known as The Synod.
Xenophobic and isolationist, they reside in an area of space
they consider holy and unspoiled. This area of space is known as
the Sanctum and it is about to become the center of a conflict
that threatens to shatter the new foundations of the rebuilt
United Federation of Planets and stir up dangerous enemies from
the past.
Join the Fourth Fleet as we defend this new Federation.

Welcome
aboard the Federation starship U.S.S. Sharikahr /
NCC-81204 the Fourth (Previously Fifth) Fleet's flagship for diplomacy. The
U.S.S. Sharikahr, named for the capital city of Vulcan,
launched in to service from Vulcan on Stardate 10007.27 under
the Command of Captain Nancy Fowler.
Carrying
a name so dear to the Vulcan people has placed a solemn duty
into the hands of the ship's crew to represent themselves, the
Vulcan people, and the Federation in the best light.
Constructed in orbit of the planet, the Sharikahr is
one of the few Starfleet vessels that has a predominantly
Vulcan crew with a Vulcan to non-Vulcan crew ratio of
approximately 2:1.
Several
years ago, command of the Sharikahr passed to then
Commander Jyg'Lo Ahkileez who had served alongside Captain
Fowler from the ship's launch. An ex-Marine and Intelligence
Officer, Captain Ahkileez seemed like the wrong person to be
given command of a Science and Diplomacy vessel, a fact that
he has had to wrestle with in his command to do the right
thing for the crew and its mission.
After
spending three years commanding of the Sharikahr,
Captain Ahkileez passed on command to then Lieutenant
Commander Keely Cephas who had served aboard the Sharikahr
as her Counselor for two years.
One year
passed before command of the Sharikahr was passed on to
a new face, Captain Kalen Mordane. Unfortunately, his command
was short lived, but he had left his mark with the valiant
crew.
Command
of the Sharikahr was then transferred to the Executive
Officer at the time, Commander Sarah Renee Horn. This was also
a short lived command, only lasting for five months.
The
Sharikahr thrives on, currently under the command of
Captain Elisha Irvin with
additional assistance by Executive Officer Lieutenant Rodos
Falor, and Second Officer Lieutenant Millicent Rodos. Though command has changed a great deal over the past
several years, the Norway Class Sharikahr continues
with their mission as diplomats and explorers.
