A big part of the fun of joining a ship in ACTD is the comraderie and out-of-mission interaction. By putting some time and effort into the ship you're on, you enhance game play, increase the reality, and all around improve everyone's experience on a ship.

All of this hinges on the individual player's participation on their ship.
